Update my tax information

Because we work with financial institutions to offer you products and services, we're required to collect your tax identification information. Depending on your country, we may require a tax identification number (TIN) to confirm your tax status.

Your account may be limited if you fail to provide the required tax identification information. It may take up to 1 business day for us to review your information and remove any restrictions.

How to update my tax residences

To update your tax residences in-app:

  • Tap your profile icon in the top-left corner
  • Tap 'Account'
  • Choose 'Personal details'
  • Select 'Tax residences'
  • Tap 'Add' to add a new country, or tap the pencil icon and 'Edit' to update your TIN
  • Enter the identification number requested
  • If you have an existing country that you no longer pay taxes in (for example, your passport country), tap the pencil icon next to that country and select 'Edit'
  • Choose 'I can't provide it now' and select the applicable reason

I don't have the required TIN

If you don't have a TIN because you're a student, unemployed, retired, waiting for the TIN as a new employee, or you pay taxes in a different country:

  • Go to our in-app 'Review your tax information' page
  • Tap the pencil icon next to the country for which you don't have a TIN
  • Select 'Edit' to modify the details
  • Select 'I can't provide it now' and the applicable reason

If you're waiting on a document for longer than 90 days, or you're unable to get the proper document, request live support by typing 'Live agent' in the in-app chat.
