Do I own the stocks I buy through Revolut?

Revolut doesn’t hold your stocks. You own your stocks and your stocks are held by our third-party broker.

All funds deposited into your Revolut account for placing orders or from executed transactions are held by our partner bank(s). These funds are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) up to $250,000 per eligible account.

If you’re temporarily in margin deficit, your funds held overnight at the Clearing Broker may be protected by SIPC, up to $500,000 for securities and cash (including $250,000 for cash only). For more details, read this FAQ about Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC).
