Create and manage custom categories for transactions
Creating a new custom category
If our default categories aren't right, you can create your own custom categories.
- Open any transaction and tap 'Category'
- Tap 'Create' from the 'Category' list
- Choose a name, select a colour, and choose an icon
- Tap 'Save' or 'Confirm' to create your new custom category
Editing a custom category
- Go to 'Analytics' and tap 'Manage' in the 'Categories' section
- Under 'Custom' categories, find the category you want to edit and tap the three dots icon
- Select 'Edit category'
- Change the name, colour, or icon, then tap 'Confirm' to save your changes
Deleting a custom category
When you delete a custom category, all transactions previously assigned to it will be re-assigned to the previous default category.
- Go to 'Analytics' and tap 'Manage'
- Under 'Custom' categories, find the category you want to delete and tap the three dots icon
- Select 'Remove category'
- Read the confirmation message and tap 'Confirm' to permanently remove the category
