How do I set up Pay with Smile?
You can set up Pay with Smile in the Revolut app in a few taps, or enrol when you first use it at a Revolut Register. We recommend enrolling in the app before you pay, so checkout is faster.
Enrol in the Revolut app (recommended)
Open your Revolut app and look for the Pay with Smile banner on your home screen or in the Revolut Pay section.
- Tap the banner and read about the feature
- Tick the box to consent to Revolut processing your biometric data
- Tap 'Enable' and accept the T&Cs
Set your passcode
After you enable the feature, you'll be asked to create a 4-digit Pay with Smile passcode. For your security, it must be different from the passcode you use to open your Revolut app.
You can tap 'Not now' and skip this, but we recommend setting a passcode to make paying with your face quicker.
Enrol at the Revolut Register
You can also enrol during your first Pay with Smile payment at a Revolut Register:-
- Tap 'Pay with Smile' at checkout and look into the camera
- Tap your phone on the screen or scan the QR code to open the Revolut app
- Tick the consent box, tap 'Enable', and your payment completes
After payment, the app will prompt you to set up your passcode for next time.
