At Revolut, protecting your personal data is our top priority. When you use Pay with a Smile via Revolut Register, we will collect and process limited biometric information to verify your identity and keep your account secure.

Below, we’ve explained how your biometric data is collected, processed, and securely stored.

We will capture an image of your face using the camera on the Revolut Register. This photo is used to identify you in our back-end systems.

To mitigate fraud risks and handle potential disputes, a copy of your selfie is securely stored in our back-end system.

Once your selfie is uploaded to Revolut’s back-end system, it is immediately deleted from the Revolut Register device. Revolut Register devices are also made with anti-tampering mechanisms to prevent your personal data from being breached.
