What happens if IHG closes my IHG One Rewards account?
Your IHG One Rewards membership is provided and controlled by IHG. This means IHG can suspend or close your IHG account under their own programme terms, independently of Revolut.
What happens if IHG closes your account
If IHG closes your IHG One Rewards account, Revolut is no longer allowed to send IHG points or process IHG membership benefits to that account.
When we detect that your IHG account is closed, we terminate your IHG Co‑Branded subscription on the Revolut side. Your Co‑Branded Card will remain active and can be used for everyday account needs. However, you stop earning IHG points and IHG subscription benefits through Revolut.
What happens to IHG points and your IHG status
Any IHG One Rewards points or status already shown in your IHG account is managed by IHG under their own programme rules. Revolut cannot reopen a closed IHG account, restore IHG points, or control your IHG status.
If you have questions about why your IHG account was closed, you can contact IHG directly.
