Getting started with travel insurance
Travel insurance is included as a benefit with our Metal and Ultra plans. It's automatically activated when you sign up for Metal or Ultra. You don't need to do anything else to activate it.
If you and your trip meet the eligibility requirements, you'll automatically be covered.
Eligibility and people covered
- Trips must be paid with your Metal or Ultra Revolut account. See more in this FAQ
- Your Metal or Ultra plan must be active at the time of booking, and remain active until the trip ends
- You must reside in the UK, with your primary address matching your Revolut account
- Your trip must begin and end at the address your Revolut account is registered to
- You and other beneficiaries must meet the eligibility criteria outlined in this article
Moving home, or moving abroad, can change your eligibility for cover. Insurance availability varies by country. Make sure to update your Revolut profile as soon as you move so you can see exactly what’s available in your new home. See how moving affects your policy in this article.
Regions covered
- Worldwide, except for travel to countries or areas where the government's Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) advises against 'all travel' or 'all but essential' travel
- Trips in the UK, more than 75 miles away from your home, that include an overnight stay

How to check your policy
In the Revolut app:
- In the search bar at the top of the screen, search for 'Insurance'
- Select 'Insurance'
- Select 'Travel insurance' and tap 'Get help'
