How can my child send money to friends?

Revolut <18 payments are restricted to customers with a Revolut <18 account, and above the Digital Age of Consent.

Your child needs to provide their phone number and give permission to enable contact syncing to identify trusted contacts. To do this:

  1. Read the 'Welcome to Revolut <18' stories.
  2. Open the 'Payments' tab in the Revolut <18 app.
  3. Tap 'Enable'.
  4. Add their phone number and enable contacts syncing.

To send instant payments to another Revolut <18 customer, your child needs to:

  1. Open the 'Payments' tab.
  2. Tap 'New' to select a new recipient, or select an existing one in the Suggested section.
  3. Enter the amount, and add a note and/or GIF if you’d like.
  4. Tap 'Send'.

When your child sends money to someone new, the transaction will be put on hold until both you and the recipient approve it. If they send money to a previously approved recipient, it'll be automatically approved.

👉 If your child isn't above the regional Digital Age of Consent, they may not be eligible to use the feature yet.
