Service disruptions during transfer to Revolut Mobile
Will the transfer cause service interruption?
After you transfer your number, your temporary number is replaced. In some cases, your phone (or Apple services like iMessage/FaceTime) may take a little extra time to fully switch over. This is normal and is usually resolved within a few hours, but can take up to 24 hours.
If you’ve lost connection completely (have no signal or data), try these steps in order:
- Set your Revolut eSIM as the default voice line and mobile data in your phone settings
- Restart your device. Turn it off, wait 10–20 seconds, then turn it back on
- Turn Airplane Mode on for a few seconds, then turn it off
What if my device doesn't recognise the new number?
Try these steps if regular calls or SMS work but iMessage or FaceTime (on iPhone) doesn't recognise your new number:
- Disable iMessage and FaceTime (following the instructions by Apple, which can be found on their website)
- Restart your device
- Enable iMessage and FaceTime again
What if I cancel my mobile plan during the transfer process?
The number transfer to your Revolut Mobile plan will proceed. However, after the number transfer is complete, you can then transfer the number to a different provider.
Can my old provider stop the process?
If your number transfer encounters any issues or is rejected, we'll promptly notify you within the app and provide clear instructions on how to proceed.
