Personalise RevPoints

What is RevPoints personalisation?

RevPoints personalisation helps your rewards feed show offers you’re more likely to use, instead of lots of random or irrelevant rewards.

We use machine learning to sort and highlight offers based on how you use Revolut and RevPoints. This helps us predict what you'll like and put the most relevant rewards at the top of your feed.

You can turn off individual personalisation at any time. If you do, you’ll still see rewards, just based on broader groups rather than you specifically.

What data do you use to tailor my offers?

We use the following information from your Revolut account and app activity to decide which rewards to show and in what order:

  • Basics like your plan, country, and age range
  • Your in-app activity, like offers you’ve seen or clicked
  • Your spending patterns (for example, types of shops or the brands you like)
  • How you use RevPoints features and your points activity

Can I choose how my data is used for offers?

Yes, you can manage this anytime using the in-app RevPoints privacy toggles found here:

  • Click your profile icon in the top left of the screen
  • Open 'Privacy' and scroll down to 'RevPoints personalisation'

If you turn off a toggle you will opt out of individual personalisation for either transaction data, product usage data, or RevPoints data. If individual personalisation is off, we use similar data but in aggregated groups, so offers stay relevant without being tailored to you personally.

How private and secure is my data?

Your data is stored in dedicated secure databases. Reporting data is pseudonymised. Retention is limited to what’s needed under our Global Data Retention Framework.

  • Sensitive categories are excluded (medical, religious, political, and gambling)
  • No minors’ data is used

This data doesn’t affect your rights or account status. We don’t share your personal data with merchants for their own marketing. In rare cases, limited protected data may be shared to confirm a reward should be given.
