Crypto payments and how they work
You can link any Revolut card to a crypto Pocket, except Revolut Pro and Revolut Business cards. You can also create a new virtual crypto card. To find out how, visit this FAQ in our Help Centre.
When you make a crypto card payment, we'll exchange your crypto into the currency of your purchase to pay the merchant.
You can choose to spend from all crypto accounts or one specific crypto account.
Spending from all crypto accounts
Revolut will deduct from the cryptocurrency with the highest account balance first, followed by the one with the next highest balance, and so on, until the total amount is paid.
Spending from a specific crypto account
If you don't have enough crypto for the chosen payment, the transaction will be declined.
If that happens, we recommend:
- Buying more crypto
- Choosing to spend from a different crypto
- Opting to pay from all crypto accounts
- Opting to pay from all cash accounts
Once that's done, you can try the transaction again.
We don't offer cashback for crypto card payments.
Refunded payment
For crypto card refunds, you'll receive them in the fiat currency of your purchase (not a cryptocurrency). Fair usage fees may apply depending on your plan. See this FAQ for more information.
