Why is my stock on 'sell only'?

In some cases, we might restrict some assets from being purchased due to a variety of reasons, while still allowing you to keep or sell the ones you bought in the past. We refer to these as 'sell only' assets.

The reasons an asset will fall under this category is usually one of the following:

  • Sanctions
  • Corporate actions
  • Operational decisions
  • Stocks trading over-the-counter (OTC) or being priced extremely low
  • Assets facing impending delisting from exchanges
