What is a trading day?

For US-listed securities, a trading day runs from 09:30 to 16:00, Eastern Time (ET). Trading days are usually Monday to Friday, except for market holidays or shortened trading days.

For European-listed securities, a trading day starts at 07:00 and ends at 20:00, Monday to Friday, Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) — except for market holidays or shortened trading days.

For UK-listed securities, the trading day typically starts at 08:00 and ends at 16:30, Monday to Friday, London Local Time — which adheres to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) in the winter and British Summer Time (BST, UTC+1) in the summer — excluding public holidays or any shortened trading days.
