Documents needed for an Ultra trip and event cancellation protection claim

When submitting an Ultra trip and event cancellation protection claim, our insurance provider will request some documents to confirm your eligibility for cover. 

You must provide the following when submitting a claim for Ultra trip and event cancellation protection:

  • Proof that you paid for the trip or event with your Revolut account
  • Proof of cancellation at least one day before the trip or event and any charges
  • Original receipts and invoices

If you cancel your trip for a specific reason, you need to provide additional supporting documents. Some examples include:

  • Serious injury or sickness: a medical certificate with the date and details of the accident or illness
  • Contagious disease: a medical certificate showing quarantine is required, or a copy of the test results
  • Death: a copy of the death certificate
  • Quarantine: a copy of the official document that places you or your travel companion in quarantine due to an epidemic or pandemic
  • Childbirth: a copy of the birth certificate
  • Redundancy: a copy of your company's redundancy notice, proof of your employment contract, and the exact start date of your employment
  • Traffic accident: a copy of the breakdown, towing invoice, or report, and a medical report if any medical attention was needed
  • Theft of identity papers or tickets: a copy of the police report and any other documents showing your efforts to replace the stolen items

Important things to remember

  • File types: Accepted formats are GIF, JPEG, PDF, and PNG. If one format doesn't work, try another from the list
  • Max documents accepted: A maximum of 3 documents can be processed when submitting your claim, so merge files if you have more than this to avoid any problems
