Making a trip or event cancellation protection claim

Revolut Ultra plan customers can make a claim for trip or event cancellation protection by following the below steps.

Report the claim

In your Revolut app:

  1. Go to 'Lifestyle' in the bottom menu of the app’s 'Home' screen
  2. Tap 'Insure'
  3. Select 'Travel Insurance' and 'Cancel for any reason'
  4. Tap 'Make a claim'

A claim must be reported at least one day before the event or trip to be eligible for this insurance. If a serious sickness, injury, or medical condition prevents your attendance, we advise reporting this as soon as possible.

Notify your providers

Inform your event or trip suppliers immediately once you know you need to cancel. Delaying this can reduce your refund, and the difference may not be covered.

Provide the necessary documents

You must provide all requested information and documentation throughout the claims process. Documentation you need to submit your claim may include, but isn’t limited to:

  • Booking proof: show that you purchased the booking or ticket on your Revolut account as part of your Ultra plan, or within one day of upgrading to Ultra
  • Receipts: original receipts from official merchants that aren’t black market or peer-to-peer purchases
  • Cancellation proof: confirmation of the cancellation request and details of non-refundable fees from the provider
  • Reason for cancellation: proof of the reason for cancellation, if applicable. For example, a medical or death certificate
