Crypto delisting
Upon delisting, the affected token is removed from our app, with any remaining balances converted to your main currency at the current market rate. Delistings can lead to increased volatility and significant price drops, influenced by reduced liquidity and negative investor sentiment.
Possible reasons for delisting
Regulatory and compliance issues
If a token is found to be in violation of regulations (e.g. sanctions, deemed to be a security, etc.), it may be delisted.
Insufficient liquidity
Low liquidity can pose risks to customers and exchanges, including high volatility and slippage. We, along with our partners, enforce specific liquidity requirements. Failure to meet these can lead to delisting.
Tokens with very low value
These tokens are susceptible to price manipulation, which is a risk we can’t tolerate.
Other factors
Long-term token viability can be impacted by security issues or negative publicity, such as fraud or unethical actions by the supporting team. Tokens may still be delisted despite partner support if they meet our liquidity requirements, exceed our risk tolerance, or due to regulatory requirements in specific jurisdictions.
Revolut isn’t liable for losses if a token's value falls to zero or if it must be delisted due to unforeseen external events.
