When do RevPoints expire, and what happens to unused points?
RevPoints are valid for 3 years from their issue date. Any points you don't use within that timeframe will expire at the end of the month in which they expire, rather than exactly 3 years after you earn them. The expiry date applies to both earned points (e.g. through Challenges) and purchased points (e.g. from spare change).
RevPoints expiration logic
When you do not redeem RevPoints:
- If RevPoints are issued on 1 January 2024 and aren’t used, by 31 January 2027, they’ll expire and can no longer be redeemed.
When you redeem RevPoints, the points that were earned first will be redeemed first:
- 1 January 2024: you earn 100 points
- 5 February 2024: you earn 200 points
- 20 March 2024: you redeem 200 points
- You don't earn or redeem any more points
- 28 February 2027: 100 unused points earned on 5 February 2024 expire
