Locate a bank transfer sent from Revolut

To check the latest status and get help with a bank transfer you've sent, tap 'Outbound transfer status' under 'Quick help' in the 'Help' section, and select the transfer you need help with.

You'll find the estimated date of arrival for the transfer, along with guidelines in case you need additional support.

Transfer is pending

When you make a transfer, it can take longer to be sent to your recipient in some situations. This is known as a pending transfer. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do to speed up the process. It may occur for several reasons:

  • Being sent on a weekend or bank holiday when there's no processing
  • Additional processing checks
  • Additional information required
  • Incorrect recipient details
  • Currency or payment scheme used for transfer not supported by recipient or recipient bank

A transfer may remain pending for up to 72 hours. In most cases, a transfer will eventually be marked as completed after a few hours.

If the transfer fails and doesn't reach the recipient, the transaction will be reverted. The funds should be available in your Revolut account:

  • Within 5 business days for a domestic transfer
  • Within 15 business days for an international transfer

Transfer is completed, but recipient hasn't received it

Sometimes, once a transfer is completed, recipient banks can take a bit longer (1-2 business days) to credit the funds to the recipient's account.

If this time is exceeded, make sure you've entered the recipient's correct account details. If the details are correct, as the transfer has already left Revolut, you'll need to contact the recipient’s bank with the transfer confirmation. You can download it after selecting your transfer in your transactions list. Just tap 'Download' next to 'Confirmation'.

Transfer is reverted, but still hasn't reached my account

In the event of your outbound transfer being reverted but not reaching your account, you should request a return confirmation from the bank that reverted it. Most of the time, the recipient can request the document in a PDF form from their bank.

It can take up to 5 business days for a domestic transfer and up to 15 business days for an international transfer to be returned to your Revolut account.
