Regular trading (open market) hours 

For US securities

Regular trading hours are Monday to Friday 9:30am ET – 4pm ET, unless there's a market holiday.  

For European securities

Orders will be executed from Monday to Friday 8am – 9pm CET, unless there’s a market holiday.

You can still place market-on-open orders, which will be queued for market order execution on the next trading day. 

Limit and stop orders can be placed and queued at any time but will only be executed during market hours when the conditions of the order are met. Check this FAQ to learn more about order types.

Extended hours trading

Extended hours trading is available outside regular hours — 4:00am – 9:30am ET for pre-market and 4:00pm – 8:00pm ET for after-hours trading.  

Orders placed outside regular trading hour sessions will only execute during the next available regular trading session, unless extended hours are enabled for a limit order (only live for US-listed securities).
