Revolut <18 card management

Control your child's spending with their <18 card

To make sure you have control over your kid's spending, you can set monthly spending limits, receive instant notifications for your child's transactions they make, and freeze the card or adjust security settings if needed.

Set a monthly spending limit:

  1. Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
  2. Under your balance, tap 'Accounts'
  3. Choose your child's <18 account and scroll to your child's card
  4. Tap 'Settings'
  5. Select 'Spending limit'

Revolut <18 cards are intended solely for the cardholder named on the card. If you need to access funds from a Revolut <18 account, simply withdraw the money back into your own account.

Lost or stolen Revolut <18 card

You can instantly freeze a Revolut <18 card from the main Revolut app:

  1. Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
  2. Under your balance, tap 'Accounts'
  3. Choose your child's <18 account and scroll to the <18 card you want to freeze
  4. Tap 'Freeze'

If you're worried that the card isn't secure or has been defrauded, freeze it and replace it with a new one. To do so:

  1. Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu of your Revolut app
  2. Below your balance, tap 'Accounts'
  3. Choose your child's <18 account
  4. Select their card
  5. Tap 'Freeze'
  6. Select 'Settings'
  7. Tap 'Replace card'

To report fraud in-app with our online chargeback form, select the transaction you believe to be fraudulent in-app, and then tap 'Get help'.

Apple Pay or Google Pay

To link an <18 card to Apple Pay or Google Pay, your child needs to be at least the minimum age as below:

  • Minimum age to use Apple Pay: 13
  • Minimum age to use Google Pay: 13

To link the Revolut <18 card to Apple Pay or Google Pay, your child will need to:

  1. Log in to their Revolut <18 account
  2. Tap the cards icon in top-right corner
  3. Select 'Controls'
  4. Scroll down and add the card to Apple Pay or Google Pay (whichever applies)

If you freeze your child's Revolut <18 card, payments made through Apple Pay or Google Pay will be disabled.

ATM withdrawals

With their Revolut <18 card, your child can withdraw cash from ATMs that accept Visa or Mastercard. Be aware of possible fees from ATM operators.

Withdrawals can't be made with Apple Pay or Google Pay. Your child will need to have their physical Revolut <18 card and PIN code to withdraw cash.

Fees apply if your child exceeds their currency conversion or withdrawal limits, and there is an extra fee for currency conversion outside of FX market hours (Friday 5pm to Sunday 6pm Eastern Standard Time (EST).

To block ATM withdrawals for your child, choose their '<18 account' in-app, go to 'Settings', select 'Card controls', and disable the toggle for ATM withdrawals.
