My co-holder is unable to manage the joint account

If the other account holder is no longer in a position to make decisions in relation to the joint account due to various circumstances, you can keep the account. Visit our Joint Accounts T&Cs page to find out what actions are required.

I don't want to share the account anymore

You can close the joint account directly in-app:

1. Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
2. Below your balance, tap 'Accounts'
3. Select your joint account
4. Tap 'More' and 'Details'
5. Scroll down and tap 'Close joint account'

What happens if a joint account holder passes away?

As both account holders share the money in the joint account, if one account holder passes away, we take certain legal actions depending on the region you're located in. We may ask for documents from competent authorities evidencing that.

If both account holders pass away, and we’re notified, we'll freeze the joint account and await the applicable forms from their personal representatives.
