Identity verification requirements
- The full name (first name, middle name, and last name) on your ID must match the name on your application
- Documents must meet the validity requirements listed below
- Identity documents must not be damaged or blurry
- Any photos must be clear and all the required details are visible
If you have a personal Revolut account
If you have a personal Revolut account and you register for a Business account using the same phone number, you can link your profiles, and we'll copy some of your personal information over to your business profile.
Even if you have a personal Revolut account, you may still need to verify your identity for a Revolut Business account.
Supported documents
If your business is incorporated in the UK, Switzerland, or the rest of the EEA, what we need from you will depend on your citizenship or residency.
Requirements if you're a citizen
You'll need to provide a copy of one of the following:
- National ID
- Passport
The document must be valid for at least 1 month from the date of application.
Requirements if you're a resident or non-citizen
You'll need to provide a copy of one of the following:
- National ID
- Passport
The document must be valid for at least 1 month from date of application.
In addition to the above, you'll also need to provide proof of residency, such as a copy of your visa or residence permit. It must be valid for at least 3 months from the date of application.
Unsupported documents
- Short-term, tourist, seasonal worker, and UK student visas
- Estonian e-residency cards and student resident permits
- Applications to extend a visa or permanent residency unless the decision to stay has been granted
Other types of documents may be rejected at Revolut's discretion.
Tips for uploading a video selfie
- Update your Revolut mobile app to the latest version
- The video should be clear quality, in colour, and recorded during the verification process
- The video is recorded in good lighting and in a quiet room
How long will verification take?
Verifying your identity can take up to 24 hours. If you don't receive an email to tell you that we've completed your identity verification, check your in-app 'Home' tab to make sure you have no additional requests from us.
