Cover for cancelled and interrupted trips

Trip cancellation

Revolut Premium and Metal plan travel insurance includes trip cancellation coverage, provided the cancellation reason is covered under the policy's terms and conditions and the cancelled trip is eligible for cover.

Cover is available for non-refundable costs, cancellation fees, and rebooking fees up to €5000 per insured person for an eligible trip.

Revolut Ultra subscribers are protected for trip and event cancellations under the terms and conditions of the Ultra Trip and Event Cancellation Protection, which is separate from travel insurance. Learn more in this FAQ.

Trip interruption

If your trip is interrupted for a reason covered by the terms and conditions, such as an injury or illness, there is cover under Revolut travel insurance for:

  • Up to €5000 for unused trip costs
  • Up to €1000 for emergency accommodation
  • The cost of an economy class ticket

Key exclusions

  • You fail to obtain required passports, visas, or travel documents
  • You change your mind or can't afford the trip
  • You can recover the costs from any other source (including if you are refunded with a voucher)
  • You travel to sanctioned countries or against government advice

If you're eligible for cover, you can raise a claim directly with the insurance provider. Learn more in this article.

How to check your coverage

This is only a summary of your coverage. Revolut travel insurance is provided through XCover, not Revolut itself. XCover is responsible for policy terms, conditions, and claim handling. If you have questions regarding the cover, contact XCover or read the T&Cs by following these steps:

  • Tap this link or go to 'Home' on the bottom menu, look for the search bar at the top of the screen, and search for 'insurance'
  • Then, select 'Travel' and tap 'Documents'
