Credit card repayment approach

You have 14 days after the billing cycle end date to make your payment.

However, you aren't required to wait until the monthly due date to make your payment. You can set up AutoPay to make automatic scheduled repayments from your Revolut AUD account before the due date, or you can make one-time repayments at any time.

AutoPay

AutoPay automatically pays the full amount of your statement balance, the 'Monthly Payment Due', or you can set AutoPay to pay a fixed amount from your Revolut AUD account on a chosen date. To set it up, select your credit card, tap 'More' and 'AutoPay', and choose your preferred date and amount.

When selecting the AutoPay date, make sure you choose a date before the monthly due date. Once you set up AutoPay, AutoPay will be triggered after your next statement is generated.

AutoPay deducts payments from your Revolut AUD account. Ensure there's enough money in your account to cover the payment. If your balance is too low, the transaction will fail and you'll need to make a manual repayment. To add money to your account, read this FAQ.

Make a one-time payment

You can make a one-time manual payment from your Revolut AUD account at any time in the Revolut app:

  • Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
  • Below your balance, tap 'Accounts'
  • Select your credit card account
  • Tap 'Repay'
  • Choose a payment amount

Forced minimum repayment

If you don’t repay the minimum repayment as of the monthly payment due date, we'll automatically deduct the amount from your Revolut AUD account, even if you haven’t set up AutoPay. This is to make sure your minimum obligation is always met and prevents your account from falling into arrears.

If you have an overdue balance as of the payment due date, we'll also automatically deduct the amount from your Revolut AUD account, even if you haven’t set up AutoPay. This is to make sure your account doesn't enter serious arrears.

We'll continue to reattempt payments until the minimum repayment and overdue balance (if applicable) are repaid.
