If you get declined for a quote, it could be due to a variety of factors, including your previous credit history, our responsible lending criteria, or that we couldn't match your profile to the credit bureau. This decision doesn't impact your credit file.

You're always welcome to try again later to see if you qualify.

Declined application (after submitting in-app)

We're unable to provide specific reasons for why an application was declined after completing and submitting it within the Revolut app, but there may be some potential reasons.

Potential reasons for decline

  • Existing levels of debt
  • A level of disposable income making a loan unaffordable without substantial hardship
  • Repayment history with us / another lender
  • Adverse information in the credit history shown in a credit report

It is important to be proactive in checking the accuracy of your credit reporting information held by credit reporting bodies. You have a right to access your credit reporting information without charge within 3 months of your loan being declined, and can do so by contacting Illion.
