If you have been a victim of fraud, your first step should always be to submit a fraud report. Afterwards, use the guidance below to report the incident to the appropriate national authorities.

  • Report fraud to your local state or territory police force
  • Find contact details for each state and territory police force on the Commonwealth Fraud Prevention Centre website
  • Contact the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) for financial or investment scams via website
  • Use ReportCyber website as the national cybercrime reporting tool for online fraud and scams
  • Submit reports of scams through the Scamwatch web portal
