Are the funds in my Flexible Account protected?

In Brazil, the Fundo Garantidor de Créditos (FCG) protects certain types of financial investments and deposits up to BRL 250,000 per depositor, per financial institution.

However, money market funds (whether USD-based or BRL-based) are typically not covered by the FGC. The FGC mainly protects savings accounts, time deposits (CDBs), and some other bank-issued securities, but not investment funds.

Your investment in a USD-based money market fund is not protected by the FGC. Instead, protection and risk depend on the fund's underlying assets and the financial institution managing it.
