If you've been a victim of fraud, your first step should be to submit a fraud report. Afterward, use the guidance below to report the incident to the appropriate national authorities.

Brazil

  • Contact your local police authorities (Polícia Civil) as the first step for reporting fraud
  • The Polícia Civil will coordinate with INTERPOL if the crime has international aspects
  • Contact the Polícia Federal (Federal Police) for fraud affecting federal entities or involving cross-state or international elements
  • Register a formal complaint with the Central Bank of Brazil through its designated ombudsman channel
