What exchange rates does Revolut offer?

Revolut offers competitive rates for non-BRL to non-BRL currency exchange. These variable rates are set based on data from multiple independent sources.

How to check the exchange rate

  • View the current currency exchange rates on our website or within the Revolut app
  • In the app, go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
  • Scroll down to 'Add widgets'
  • Choose 'Rates' or 'Watchlist'
  • Tap 'Add widget'
  • Tap the new widget from the home screen to edit the watched exchange rates

The exchange rate from your BRL account to any foreign currency will follow our currency exchange provider's rates.

Why are the buy and sell prices different?

It's normal that the sell and buy prices are different. The difference between the two rates is called a spread. Where possible, the rate, any fee, and the total cost will be shown to you in-app before you make an exchange (e.g. for in-app exchanges or sending a transfer).

For card purchases or ATM withdrawals requiring real-time currency exchange, you’ll be able to view the breakdown of the total cost within the app after the transaction.

My exchange rate is wrong

The exchange rate from your BRL account to USD will follow Ebury Banco de Câmbio rates.

Exchange rates are determined based on currency exchange market data feeds that we get from a range of different independent sources. You'll have a rolling monthly allowance of exchanges without Revolut fees. Read this FAQ to learn about usage limits with no extra fees and weekend markup fees.
