Getting a new Swiss virtual IBAN

To get a Swiss virtual IBAN, you need to be eligible to join Revolut Bank UAB (RBUAB). You must be a resident of Switzerland and provide the required information. If you're eligible, we'll contact you via email and in-app with instructions on how to transition.

You won't be charged any fees to switch to the new entity and your subscription plan will stay the same. A virtual IBAN means you'll be properly reflected as the beneficial owner of all transfers in and out of your account, while Revolut Bank UAB is the account holder.

The transition to Revolut Bank UAB has already taken place. If you're eligible, but haven't received an invite to transition your account, or if your invite has expired, get in touch via the in-app chat.

What do I need to do to join Revolut Bank UAB?

To join Revolut Bank UAB and unlock our latest features, you'll need to accept the new T&Cs. You’ll also need to provide your AHV/AVS number and update your personal documents. For more information on where to find your AHV/AVS number, go to our FAQ.

To meet the regulatory requirements of Revolut Bank UAB, and stay in line with Swiss regulations and laws, we may also ask for additional information regarding your tax residency, income, and source of wealth.

If you don't join Revolut Bank UAB, you'll no longer have a Swiss IBAN. Without this, additional fees may apply to sending and receiving money. After the switch, you'll still be able to access account history and historical statements.

What will happen to my account during the transition?

Once you've provided the information needed and accepted the T&Cs, your account will be moved to Revolut Bank UAB. Your existing Direct Debits and standing orders won’t be impacted.

To avoid any disruptions, we recommend getting in touch with anyone using your previous IBAN — for example, for recurring payments — to give them your new details.

You can continue to use your existing Revolut cards, even after moving your account to Revolut Bank UAB.

Will my data be safe during the move to Revolut Bank UAB?

Regardless of the Revolut entity providing financial services to you, your personal data will be securely collected and processed in line with our Customer Privacy Notice.

This change will have no impact on your data subject's rights. Physical and technical measures set out in Section 13 will still apply after this change. Any personal data provided during this process will be processed as per our Customer Privacy Notice.
