Submitting documents for a travel insurance claim
When you make a travel insurance claim with XCover, it's important to provide all the necessary documents to ensure your claim is assessed quickly and accurately. Here's what you need to know:
What documents are needed?
The exact documents will vary depending on your claim type, but may include:
- Medical documents: receipts, doctor's notes, or proof of treatment
- Flight delay or cancellation proof: airline confirmations or proof of expenses incurred
- Lost or stolen items evidence: police reports, proof of purchase, or photos of the items
How to upload documents
When submitting your claim via the XCover claims centre, you will be able to upload all required documents. XCover will use your documents to evaluate your claim. Missing or incorrect information could lead to delays or affect the outcome of your claim.
If you've already submitted a claim and XCover's claims team request additional or corrected documents, or you would like to add supporting evidence to your claim, you can do so in the Claims Centre. To access the Claims Centre:
- Log in to your XCover account and go to the Claims Centre
- Go to the 'Supporting Documents' section
- Click 'Upload File'
- In the document screen, drag your documents into the section, or browse where the documents are located on your device, and choose 'Submit Document'
Stay alert for communication about your claim
When filing or during review of your claim, XCover will ask for specific documents via the claim portal or email, depending on the claim type. Stay alert for these requests and respond quickly to prevent delays in processing your claim.
