French account switching

What is account switching?

Account switching allows you to move your everyday banking activity from another French bank account to your Revolut account.

Depending on your request, this may include: Direct Debits, standing orders and scheduled transfers, and incoming payments (such as salary payments).

The service is free to use and can be started directly in the Revolut app - before submitting your request, you'll be able to review what will be moved and choose a switch date.

Am I eligible to switch?

You may be eligible if: 1) You have a French bank account with a participating bank. 2) You hold a Revolut account. 3) The account holder name matches the name registered on the account you're switching from.

You can switch from: a personal account or a Joint account (subject to additional approval requirements).

During setup, we'll ask for your account details and verify that the account can be switched - if we can't process your request, we'll let you know in the app.

What will be moved to Revolut?

We'll request the migration of recurring banking activities linked to your old account.

This may include Direct Debits, standing orders and scheduled transfers, and incoming transfers (such as salary payments).

Some payment types may not be supported - if that's the case, we'll let you know during the process and may ask you to update them manually. We recommend reviewing all important payments after your switch has been completed.

Can I change or cancel my request?

In some cases, you may be able to cancel your request before processing begins.

Once the switch has started, changes or cancellation may no longer be possible.

If cancellation is available, you'll see the option in the app. If you're unsure whether your request can still be changed, check the current status of your switch in the app.
