How is my driving score calculated?

AIG processes the data collected by your Smart Driving device, and generates a driving score out of 100 points by taking the average of your scores across these five parameters:

  • Focusing: The context of your driving, such as time of day, how much time you spend driving, weather conditions, etc.
  • Acceleration: The force exerted on the car when you accelerate. Many events can be an indicator of aggressive or unsafe driving
  • Speed: The number of times the device has recorded you exceeding the speed limit and the severity, be it moderate, severe, or dangerous
  • Cornering: The force exerted on the car when you take a corner. Many events would indicate that you're entering a corner at an inappropriate speed
  • Braking: The force exerted on the car when you brake. Many events would imply late or hard braking, indicating poor awareness of your surroundings
