Update my tax information
As a regulated financial institution, we're required to collect your tax residences information. Depending on your country, we may require a tax identification number (TIN) to confirm your tax status.
How to update your tax residences
If you pay taxes in more than one country, all tax residences must be declared unless the country isn't listed. To find the correct format of the TIN you need to submit, you can check this website.
Update your tax residences in-app:
- Tap your profile icon in the top-left corner
- Tap 'Account'
- Choose 'Personal details'
- Select 'Tax residences'
- Tap 'Add' to add a new country or tap the pencil icon and 'Edit' to update your TIN
- Enter the identification number requested
- If you have an existing country that you no longer pay taxes in (for example, your passport country), tap the pencil icon next to that country and 'Edit'
- Choose 'I can't provide it now' and select the applicable reason
If you add a new country where you pay taxes but you don't update the old country's information, you may still be asked to provide a TIN for the other country. Make sure to follow the steps to edit the old tax information correctly.
It may take up to 1 business day for us to review your information and remove any restrictions.
I don't have the required TIN
If you don't have a TIN because you're a student, unemployed, retired, waiting for the TIN as a new employee, or you pay taxes in a different country:
- Use this link to go to our in-app 'Review your tax information' page
- Tap the pencil icon next to the country for which you don't have a TIN
- Select 'Edit' to modify the details
- Select 'I can't provide it now' and the applicable reason
If you're waiting on a document longer than 90 days, or are unable to get the proper document, tap below to connect with Revolut Support via the in-app chat.
