If you have been a victim of fraud, your first step should always be to submit a fraud report. Afterwards, use the guidance below to report the incident to the appropriate national authorities.

• In-person reporting is the standard for fraud in Italy
• File a formal complaint known as a querela at any station of the Polizia di Stato or Carabinieri
• If you are currently abroad you can report at any Italian consulate
• You may also present your complaint through an Italian lawyer
