Stamp Duty for different account types

I have a Joint account, do I have to pay Stamp Duty on it?

Stamp Duty is applicable to Joint accounts, separately from your personal account. Stamp Duty is €34.20 annually, and it's charged after the end of the financial year if your average annual balance on the Joint account is above €5,000.

If you close your Joint account during the year and your average balance is above €5,000, you'll need to pay Stamp Duty pro-rata, based on the number of days your account was active in that year.

In some situations, we might charge Stamp Duty relative to your Joint account to your personal account (based on a 50% ownership between holders). In this case, the Stamp Duty charge will be clearly labeled as relative to the Joint account.

I have a Pro account, do I have to pay Stamp Duty on it?

Stamp Duty is applicable to your Pro account if the annual average balance of all the sums held in your accounts and Pockets is above €5,000.

In some situations, we might charge Stamp Duty relative to your Pro account to your personal account. In this case, the Stamp Duty charge will be clearly labeled as relative to the Pro account.

I have a Saving account, do I have to pay Stamp Duty on it?

Stamp Duty isn't applicable to your Savings account, but your Savings balance is calculated as part of your annual average balance.

If the annual average balance of all the sums held in your accounts and Pockets is above €5,000, you'll be charged Stamp Duty on your personal account.

Do I pay Stamp Duty on a Kids & Teens account?
