Limits for transfers to other Revolut customers
Limits depend on your destination country and base currency. We’ll show the transfer limit in the Revolut app before you send money.
Revolut customers in Japan can transfer up to JPY 1,000,000 (or the equivalent in other currencies) per transaction, regardless of whether the recipient is a Revolut customer or not.
Within the above limit, when you send a high amount (e.g. for a down payment on an apartment), we might need some additional time to perform extra checks. However, there’s nothing to worry about. You can send large amounts of money in the same way you would with small amounts.
Credit monetisation
Money added to your account via cards (debit cards, credit cards, and prepaid cards) cannot be used for transfers or ATM withdrawals. To check your current monetisable balance in-app:
- Tap your profile icon in the top-left corner
- Select Security
- Select 'Transaction limits'
