What is a card pre-authorisation hold?

A pre-authorisation is a temporary hold of money on your payment card, often for service payments. It makes sure you have enough money available for potential charges.

Can I cancel a pre-authorisation?

We can't cancel pre-authorisation unless the authorisation time expires or the merchant releases your money. The merchant can send a request to cancel the hold and release your funds earlier.
