How do I close my joint account?

You or the other account holder can close the joint account directly in-app. Firstly, you’ll need to bring the account balance to zero. Either account holder can withdraw some or all of the money in the account without the other's consent. Please be conscious of any scheduled or recurring payments that may remain.

To close your joint account in-app:

  1. Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
  2. Select 'Accounts' below your balance and tap on 'Joint'
  3. Tap on '… More' and select 'Details'
  4. Scroll down and select 'Close joint account'

Once you close the joint account, we’ll deactivate both account holders’ cards. Not to worry, you’ll still be able to use your personal account.
