Do I have to pay for my trip using my Revolut account?

To be protected, you must have an active Revolut Metal or Ultra plan at the time of booking and use this account to pay for your accommodation and the main commercial or public transport to and from your destination, unless you can prove that your Revolut card has been stolen. Your Revolut Metal or Ultra plan must remain open (without interruption) from when you book your trip, and you must be able to provide receipts to prove that you used your Revolut Metal or Ultra plan to pay for your trip and accommodation.

What does main commercial or public transport mean?

Main commercial or public transport includes planes, coaches, and trains for more than 50% of your total journey. This doesn't include travel by car rental, ride-sharing, taxis, or local public transport like local buses.

I booked my trip before 5th December. Is my trip covered?

If you upgrade your plan after 5 November 2024, the above terms and requirements apply to all trips.

If you upgraded your plan on or before 5 November 2024, you are eligible for cover under the previous terms (even if purchased with a non-Revolut account).

Am I covered if I only pay some of my costs with Revolut?

No, you must use your Revolut account to pay for your accommodation and the main commercial or public transport to and from your destination, unless you can prove that your Revolut card has been stolen.

Someone else booked the trip or I'm travelling in a group. Is my trip covered?

You’ll need to provide proof of payment for the trip from your Revolut account. This would be a Revolut transfer from you to the trip organiser for your transport and accommodation costs.

The trip organiser must also have an active Metal or Ultra plan at the time of booking the trip that must remain active (without interruption) until the end of the trip.
