Trips covered by travel insurance
A trip means a holiday or journey which starts when you leave your regular place of residence and ends when you return home to your regular place of residence.
Revolut travel insurance includes coverage for pre-booked personal (and business for Ultra package customers) international and domestic trips that are at least 100 km away from home. Certain coverage aspects, such as medical expenses, do not apply when travelling within your country of residence.
Premium and Metal package accounts cover a maximum of 30 days per trip, whereas Ultra accounts cover a maximum of 90 days. If your trip exceeds these limits, cover will apply for the first 30 (Premium and Metal) or 90 days (Ultra). It isn't possible to extend coverage beyond these maximum durations.
Key exclusions
- Travel with the intent to receive healthcare or medical treatment of any kind
- Moving or relocating to a new residence or secondary residence
- Commuting to and from work, work training, work meetings, or internships
- Travel to sanctioned countries or against government advice
Remember, you must have an active Revolut Premium, Metal, or Ultra package account at the time of booking and use this account to pay for your accommodation and the main commercial or public transport to and from your destination in order for a trip to be covered. Read more on this page.
How to check your coverage
This is only a summary of your coverage. Revolut travel insurance is provided through XCover, not Revolut itself. XCover is responsible for policy terms, conditions, and claim handling. If you have questions about the cover contact XCover or read the T&Cs by following these steps in the Revolut app:
- In the search bar at the top of the screen, search for 'Insurance'
- Select 'Insurance'
- Select 'Travel insurance' and tap 'Documents'
