Sending and requesting money with a payment link

Payment links are a secure way to send or receive money without sharing personal information or account details.

They can also be used to send money to a card, bank account, or Revolut account. You can also request money from a card, an external bank account, or a Revolut account.

How to create a payment link

In the Revolut app:

  • Go to 'Payments' on the bottom menu
  • Tap '+' in the top-right corner
  • Tap 'Link'
  • Select Send money or Request money
  • Set the amount to send or request

When you send money, the recipient will have 7 days to accept your payment. If unclaimed, the money will automatically be returned to your account. When you request money, the sender will have 10 days to complete your request before the link expires.

Limits for sending money with a payment link

Regulatory limits may apply for both sending and requesting funds. You can read more about the limits in these FAQs.

Limits for requesting money with a payment link

You can check your limits for receiving money via card payments on a payment link in the Revolut app by following the steps below:

  • Go to 'Payments'
  • Tap '+' followed by 'Link'
  • Select ‘Request money’ and tap the info icon in the top-right corner

To request money from non-Revolut customers, Revtag discoverability should be enabled in-app when you share the payment link. Read more about managing your Revtag discoverability in this FAQ.
