Why was my check not approved?

Checks submitted through Revolut are subject to approval. Some reasons we may be unable to approve a check include: 

  • Poor image quality
  • Deposit limits issues
  • Duplicate presentment issues
  • Bounced checks due to insufficient funds
  • Suspicion of fraudulent items
  • Check was not properly endorsed
  • Name mismatch between name on the check and your Revolut account

You'll be notified in-app if your check is declined or reverted, and we'll strive to provide the underlying reason with as much detail as possible.

  • Remember to write 'For mobile deposit at Revolut' on the back of your check and next to your signature/endorsement
  • Ensure the name on the check exactly matches the name on the Revolut account
  • Ensure there's proper lighting to capture the best images of your check
