Add a recipient from photo or file
How do I add a recipient from a photo or file?
- Go to Payments on the bottom menu
- Tap the '+' symbol in the top-right corner
- Tap the 'Camera' icon in the top-right corner, and follow the prompts on the screen
What files can I upload?
You can upload documents that contain payment details, such as invoices, bills, or account details. Make sure the document is clear and easy to read for optimal results.
This service isn't designed to handle sensitive data like debit or credit card details, health information, or protected information. Do not use it for photos or files containing sensitive data.
How are details extracted?
We use AI to identify and extract payment details from your photo or file. AI can occasionally misread information, so always review and confirm the recipient details before storing them or making a payment.
This feature is designed to extract standard payment details, such as names, account numbers, and transaction amounts. Do not upload files containing sensitive or private personal data, such as health, political, or religious information.
Using this feature is completely voluntary, and you can always choose to input your numbers manually instead. If you choose to use the feature, you can delete the attached file from your transaction summary at any time, as explained under the 'Your data and control' section below.
Your data and control
When you upload an image, we store it securely and make it available in your transaction history for 60 days. After 60 days, the image is automatically deleted.
If you don't want your image stored or reviewed, tap 'X' on the image when previewing the transaction. This deletes the image, but does not remove the transaction record from your account transaction history.
Revolut reviews select uploaded data and images for quality control, to ensure this feature and our model work as intended. We use this data only for that purpose. For more information about how Revolut uses personal data, including your rights and how to contact us, see our Privacy Policy.
