What is a Pet Insurance Co-payment?

A co-payment is the percentage amount of a claim that you will be responsible for after the excess is paid.

Co-payment only applies to vet fee and medical care abroad claims and helps keep the cost of your premium down.

When your dog reaches 8 years of age or your cat reaches 10 years of age, a co-payment of 20% is required. You have the option to increase this to 35% if you wish. For younger pets a co-payment is not required, however you can select an optional 20% or 35% co-payment if you wish.

For an example of a co-payment please refer to the Words with special meaning section of your policy wording.
