What should I do if I’ve been a victim of fraud?

If you notice a transfer you didn’t authorise, or if you believe you’ve been tricked into sending money to a fraudster, it’s important to act quickly. Your security is our priority, and our team is here to help.

Step 1: secure your account immediately

  • Stop communication: do not reply to further messages or calls from the suspected scammer
  • Freeze your card: if you suspect your card details are compromised, open the app, go to 'Cards', select the relevant card, and tap 'Freeze'
  • Change your passcode: if you believe someone else has accessed your account, update your Revolut app passcode immediately for your safety

Step 2: report the fraud

The most direct way to get help is to report the incident directly to our specialised team. You can start by tapping this link to report fraud or open the Revolut app and follow these steps:

  • Go to 'Home' and select the security check transfer from your transactions list
  • Tap 'Get help'
  • Select 'Report this transfer as fraud'

Finally, complete the form with the required information so our team can begin investigating immediately. If you need assistance with completing the form, reach out to us via chat and we will be happy to help you.

What happens next?

Once submitted, our dedicated fraud team will secure your account and review your case. We assess if the funds can be recovered or if you are eligible for reimbursement.

We may reach out if we need extra details, such as a police report number.

You can track the status of your case directly in your in-app chat.
