Pending crypto withdrawals
You can see the reason why your withdrawal is pending on the transaction details screen. To see the status of your withdrawal:
- Go to 'Crypto' on the bottom menu
- Scroll to the transactions list or select the crypto you withdrew
- Find your withdrawal transaction
- Tap on it to see the reason why it's pending
Your crypto withdrawal could be pending because it's going through any of the below steps:
- Internal assessment
- Broadcasting to the network
- Confirmation on-chain
Crypto withdrawal internal assessment
We apply a number of different automated standard checks on every crypto withdrawal. Part of these checks is making sure you're not being scammed by bad actors.
In most cases, these checks will be completed within seconds. In some exceptional cases, we may ask you to provide more information in-app.
If we think there's a risk you're falling victim to a scam, we will ask you to go through a questionnaire to understand more about why you're sending crypto. Go through the steps with care and stay vigilant. Consider taking 5 minutes to think about it.
Broadcasting crypto withdrawals to the network
Crypto transfers are cryptographically signed and broadcasted on a blockchain network. This step is automatic and is usually completed within seconds. If there is a delay in this step it can mean that we're experiencing some technical difficulties not specific to your transaction. If this happens, we will notify you in-app with a banner on your home screen.
Once the issue is resolved, we'll either automatically reprocess your withdrawal, or you'll see your withdrawal fail, in which case you'll have to re-submit it.
Confirming the crypto withdrawal on chain
When you send crypto, this is an on-chain transaction. This means that your transaction will have to be verified by the nodes of the blockchain. Different blockchains have different transaction confirmation methods and times, so how much time your transaction needs to finalise is variable.
You can expect your transaction to finalise within minutes, although, if there is high traffic on the blockchain network you selected, this can take more time. Meanwhile, you can monitor your transaction on the blockchain scanner.
In your Revolut app:
- Go to 'Crypto' on the bottom menu
- Select your transaction
- Tap 'Blockchain hash'
- Choose 'View my transaction' to see details on the blockchain explorer
The blockchain explorer is the source of truth to check your transaction status. If your withdrawal is shown as completed on the explorer but the funds have not yet arrived on your receiving wallet, we recommend reaching out to the provider of the receiving wallet for further support.
