My account has been flagged for pattern day trading, what happens now?

You're considered a pattern day trader if you execute more than 3 day trades within 5 business days. If you breach this limit, your account will be restricted.

Through the duration of a PDT restriction, you won't be able to make any new securities purchases. However, your ability to sell stocks, and deposit/withdraw funds will remain unaffected. The PDT flag will last for 90 calendar days, after which the account restriction will be lifted (subject to potential administrative delays).
