Why is day trading considered risky?

Day trading can be more risky for individual investors than longer term strategies, and may not be suitable for everyone. If market volatility works against you, it may result in quick and substantial losses.

Investors with limited resources, limited investment or trading experience, and/or low risk tolerance, should be careful about day trading.
