If we need you to provide proof of identity, you will receive an email, push notification, and see a banner on your home screen. Please tap on one of these messages to upload your document.

How long do I have to submit my proof of identity?

If we reach out to you, we'll give a deadline for you to provide a new document. Your account will remain fully functional until this deadline. Your account will be restricted after the deadline until you can provide a supported or unexpired document.

Guidelines for verifying your identity

Supported document

  • Supported government-issued documents will be listed on the submission screen
  • Only upload if your document is not expired – read more below for help with expiring documents

Your details

  • The name on the document must match the name on your Revolut account
  • If your nationality is different from your address, you may be asked for proof of address or other additional documents

Document upload

  • Update your app to the latest version
  • Make sure the document is clear. Blurry documents will not be accepted
  • Show the entire document. Do not fold, crop, or exclude any part of the document
  • Upload a PDF or a photo of a physical document. Screenshots are not accepted
